Leadership Program

The EPC Leadership Program is a professional development experience for Produce Professionals who have less than 10 years of experience in the industry. The goal is to provide those selected for the program the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge from both classroom and field experience. Ten to twelve people will be selected for this program.

The program will consist of the following four components within a calendar year:

1. Visit to Grower and Port (April)

One Day Grower/Packer tour tied in with a visit to the Gloucester Port.

2. FSMA Seminar (April)

Food Safety Modernization Act Seminar led by Wes Kline, Ph.D., of Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station.

3. Rutgers Program (June & Sept.)

Gain valuable management skills and knowledge through field and classroom experience at Rutgers University’s Cream Ridge and Snyder Farm locations.

4. NY Produce Show (December)

Attend the New York Produce Show & Conference and receive Certificate of Graduation.

Applications are due by January 31, 2019.
Applicants will be notified of Acceptance by February 28, 2019.
