EPC Today

With a current membership of over 450 members, today's Eastern Produce Council is a thriving produce organization whose members include retailers, wholesale distributors, growers, vendors/brokers, logistics and transportation professionals, as well as, commodity groups, food service and other associations.

Today's EPC has broadened it's scope to become the produce industry's premier resource for networking, education, business development, information source, and support for charitable causes in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

The Council has many committees to address and support its long-term strategic goals. Committee involvement provides opportunities for EPC members to grow leadership skills and gain valuable activities, such as our golf outing, dinner dance and educational forums. Members are encouraged and welcomed to participate in planning the Council's activities.

Our Charity committee contributes annually to needy foundations, funds and other worthy organizations, including the Rutgers University-Cook College Food Science Program, and the Hackensack University Medical Center's Tomorrows Children's Fund. It contributes to both local and worldwide causes, as well as large foundations and individuals.

Recently, the EPC has attracted new members from the medical field as more research has become available on the link between good health and the vitamins and nutrients in fresh fruit and vegetables. Today's growing concern for healthy eating coincides directly with the Council's core goal of advancing the sales and awareness of fresh fruits and vegetables.
